Little Dreamer and Unicorns!

Growing up, unicorns played a lot in the popular culture of the day. The Last Unicorn was a beautiful animated movie that many little girls watched, even with sadness that she was the only one left in the world. Merry Christmas Eve

The houses B&T paper from City Sidewalks makes this a simple, but fun card.  Simply stamp the "Merry Christmas" from the Very Merry Stamp set in Black and using markers, line the different pieces with color.  3-D adhesive makes the ornament pop and the shimmer trim sparkles up the card.

To Grandmother's House We Go!

The City Sidewalks paper packet includes two sheets of Picture My Life style cards.  These cards are great for use on the front of greeting cards.  The white "road" and house at the end was cut from a PML card and stamped using the "Very Merry" stamp set.  The trees paper from CS are great to form the illusion that the car is driving through the woods to get to Grandmother's House.

The car is a sticker, and the glitter snowflakes in the upper right hand corner, both from the CS Complements.   The "exhaust" from part of a banner of the glitter die cuts.

Many Items Are Retiring This Month...

Have you gotten all of the CTMH Cricut Cartridges? We are retiring several of our classic cartridges and you don't want to miss out on them. The list of products from our 2015-2016 Annual Inspirations catalog that will be retiring has been posted on my facebook page in the photos section. These items will no longer be available after July 31, and are available while supplies last. 

Look closely at the list. You will notice that we are also retiring our rolling tote, embossing folders, and My Creations supplies. Also remember the new policy about stamps. We are retiring all of our stamps after everycatalog. There are a few exceptions, like the state/country stamps. 

Although our other retired products will be unavailable after July 31, in the case of these three retiring Cricut® cartridges and the rolling tote, we will keep them available past the July 31 deadline while supplies last, so that you can continue placing orders for these favorites until they are all gone.

Santa's Wallet

Santa's Wallet is a cute card that I've seen throughout Pintrest and the web. It's a super easy card, and was also easy to make into a gift card.  The card base is a solid Cranberry Cardstock and the belt is solid Black Cardstock.  The belt buckle is a Cricut cut in CTMH's glitter paper, with a Bitty Sparkle in the center.  The center of the gift card is two simple pockets on left and right.  One side is a sentiment card to sign, while the other is the place for the gift card.

 

Nevermore tags

Nevermore is a great set of papers to use for Halloween parties and making paper crafts for Halloween treats.  Get a jump start on your goodie bags with these cute tags.

Simple shapes such as the scalloped circle and the tag create easy foundations for stamped images.  And don't forget to stamp off set.  It makes the spider webs look ultra creepy, like they are hanging in the corners.

Glitter Gift Card

Sometimes a project just needs it. You know what I am talking about. It's shiny, happy, sometimes get stuck to your cat. Luckily, we can get this great shiny effect using CTMH glitter paper without all the mess. And even better, it is easy to cut on the Cricut! 

 

 This card is a nice gift card size, 3" X 3".  The sentiment was stamped on a cut-out from the Cricut.    The Artiste Cricut Cart makes many different sizes of different envelopes and can make them small enough for this card.

 A tradition with convention are charms.  I love to seek out a charm that will remind me of each convention that I attend, and share with my roomies.  This year, my upline, Gail, surprised us with a princess pumpkin and castle!  Awesome, yes!

 I love that I can cut up the My Acrylix stamps to make my cards more versatile and colorful.  The main stamp in the Lollydoodle Workshop can be taken apart.  The BFF was stamped in Cotton Candy, You & Me in Pear, and the outer dashed image in Slate ink.

The other thing that I love about CTMH stamps is that I can cut out paper on the Cricut that matches the stamps.  This makes card making so much easier, by not having to fussy cut anything and I can match shadow or backgrounds to those cutouts.

In the June/July 2013 issue of Technique Junkies, we learned how to do a triple embossing using Embossing Folders.  Adding Sweet Leaf and Desert Sand inks to pop out the embossing even more.

If I haven't made it clear, Lagoon is my favorite color in our line of Exclusive Inks.  The latest Idea Book introduced a Teal Shimmer Trim that works great with our Lagoon ink and paper.  The card below uses paper from the Cloud Nine card kit.

 

The Skylark Assortment has flowers and birds in three spring colors that coordinate with Lagoon, Buttercup, and Sweet Leaf.  The scallops were cut using our scallop punch.

Season's Tweetings

The main star of this show is the stamp.  The Season's Tweetings stamp set in the Gift Bag set is very fun and easy to work with.  You can show so many effects, either keeping the line images, or coloring them in.  The flowers were colored in with markers.  The little dots are ink from a reinker, sprayed, dropped, and flicked onto the card.

3 Pumpkins

Last month, I held a Huntington Giving Thanks Workshop.  We had a great time making cards and catching up.  The first card from this series, the 3 pumpkins,  makes a visually interesting cascade of color. Individual pumpkins were stamped and cut out, colored with water color pencils, and glitzed up with our Glitz Glitter Gel.

Happy Birthday Man

Tim Holtz is a very popular designer, particularly for his masculine approach to his designs.  This card uses some of his techniques while using CTMH products, inspired by A Kept Life.
