Sweet Little Things

 

Winnie the Pooh tells stories of charming adventure with his pals, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, mama Kanga and child Roo, donkey Eeyore and human Christopher Robin.  Winnie the Pooh is now in the public domain, after 95 years.  When I see this month's special stamp, I think about Winnie and Rabbit getting into those charming adventures.  It's a sweet stamp set that works great with the Sawyer paper kit.

Puppy Obedience School

School starts this month in many states, and along with it all kinds of photograph opportunities for you school age kids. Illuminated Letters

 Before the invention of printing, copies of books had to be handwritten. A scribe would obtain a book to copy and painstakingly write out every word, in ink with a quill pen. The manuscript can be decorated with initials, borders, and miniature illustrations. Hello Foxy!

This month's Stamp of the Month reminds me of my great aunt. She LOVED foxes. She worked at a school in the east called Foxcroft and many of her household items had foxes on them. She was a big part of my growing up experience in Ohio, including being my high school guidance counselor! She taught me a lot about crafting, including sewing clothes and quilts, and making handmade chocolates. I am "Thankful For You", Aunt Norma!

Flock Together

I admit, cute animals make me smile. I have recently been on a baby goats kick. This month, we have a cute Stamp of the Month set of quails call Flock Together.  I'm not sure why these quail are so cute, but they sure are! Have you ever seen them run?
