Rainbow Bridge

Cat card

I am a part of a cat/dog swap with a scrappy group of ladies.  The only rule is make 6, and use cat or dog images.  The current Seasonal Expressions has a stamp set and thin cut combo called Rainbow Bridge.  Anyone who has animals knows that they are part of our family.  When one passes, their life should be mourned, celebrated and remembered, like any other family member.

The front of this card was CASED from Catscrapping (https://catscrapbooking.com/), a fellow CTMH consultant. Check out her blog.  She has loads of great ideas.  I love using the technique of cutting sentiments to meet your space needs on the front of the card, like she did with "until we meet again".
The inside of the card is like the design from an Australian consultant, Jasminka Tomkinson, (insta:jasminkatomkinson).  Using different color inks on the inside of the card is beautiful.  I love the sentiments and sponging technique inside.

All of the cats and dogs were color using a combination of our Shin Han Markers and Copic markers.  One of my inspirations for the coloring was a blog post by Mindy at My Creative Scoop. She shows how to make three different dog breeds, and I applied her method to make my dogs and cats.

Hello Foxy!

This month's Stamp of the Month reminds me of my great aunt. She LOVED foxes. She worked at a school in the east called Foxcroft and many of her household items had foxes on them. She was a big part of my growing up experience in Ohio, including being my high school guidance counselor! She taught me a lot about crafting, including sewing clothes and quilts, and making handmade chocolates. I am "Thankful For You", Aunt Norma!
