Adding different textures to cards can make them interesting and dimensional. The upper part of this card is stamped in a darker ink on Kraft, while the Whisper cardstock strip was stamped in Slate. Aqua Dots and the Skylark Assortment add dimension. The Happy Birthday and banner from Banner Wishes is popped up using 3-d tape.
Twist ties are a fun addition to a card, and this one has them aplenty. I took 14 twist ties and cut them in half. Add a TON of adhesive to
the card base to make sure the ties will stick really well to the card,
lining up the ties so the diagonals match up. The top part of the Twist ties can be uneven, because they are covered by the strip of stamped cardstock.
Make sure to add enough adhesive to hold down the twist ties along all edges.
