Last year, the local Rotary Club sent out flyers for their new fundraiser. For $50, the Boy Scouts would plant a U.S. flag for several days around four major holidays. Last year, it was amazing driving around the village seeing all of the flags flying in many front yards. Today is Flag Day, and the flags are flying again. It reminds us how lucky we are to live in a place where our freedoms are fought for so hard. The men and women of the Armed Forces make huge sacrifices for us on a daily basis.
